Student feedback is an essential source of information for your course lecturer and programme teams and allows them to develop and improve your teaching and learning experience. Unit Surveys play a big part in making this happen.
Each semester, we’ll ask you to share your feedback by completing a survey for each unit you’ve studied. You’ll be able tell us more about your experience, with the feedback being shared directly with those teaching on the unit. Your feedback will also help your School to make changes, as well as providing us with an overview of how we are doing as a University.
We encourage you to contribute your voice to Unit Surveys, as the bigger the collective voice we hear, the more representative our response becomes and the more we can do to respond to your suggestions and ideas.
Unit Surveys have always provided us with valuable feedback on your teaching and learning, and we use the information we receive from these surveys to make positive changes to your student experience.
As always, they’re quick to complete, completely confidential and feedback will go directly to your School to help them make changes; as well as giving us a broader institutional view of how we are doing. It is really important to us that as many students as possible complete the surveys so that the collective ‘voice’ that we hear is representative of our student cohort.
Unit Surveys are quick to complete and easy to access once they go live each semester. On the day the surveys launch, you’ll receive an email to your student account inviting you to provide feedback via a link in the email itself. You’ll also get a number of reminder emails for any surveys you have not completed.
Your lecturers may share links with you or provide a QR code which will take you directly into your survey for their unit. Some lecturers may provide time at the end of a session for you to complete your surveys.
During semester 1, surveys will be open from Monday, 18 November 2024 until the end of the day on Friday, 13 December 2024.
We depend on your honest feedback to make sure you have the teaching, resources and facilities you need to succeed. We still want to hear from you when surveys aren’t running – here are some ways you can do this:
